Hull itself has grown throughout the years for its music and its creativity. The city itself has given many young and old people chances in showing their creative arts to the city and they have helped artists grow. Almost every single night you will be sure to find a gig at some sort of venue if you fancy a night of entertainment and often it will be a jam-packed night of top-quality entertainment.
Hull for years has had many different people emerge in and out of the city but a lot of the time not as many people would feel confident to show case what they can actually do the government have helped fund programs to help encourage young people such as , Albemarle Music Centre which offer young people music lessons and other services to young children as well as this there is also Freedom Road Creative arts ( FRCA ) who help encourage children and young people with regular workshops in dance, drama and music as well as The New Adelphi Club and Polar Bear music club are constantly encouraging new faces and new artists to take part within Hulls Music scenery. Each and every venue within the city work very hard to keep the scenery going.
The New Adelphi Club, which is located down De Grey Street, is by far one of my favourite venues in the city for it is an independent grassroot venue it gives off the original look of when it very first opened with very few changes The Adelphi Club is always a familiar welcoming home to all those who like to pay it a visit from time to time.
With the Adelphi putting on many acts throughout the years from rock gigs to musical puppet shows I promise you The New Adelphi club will have something for you.

Not only does the club provide you with some top-quality acts, but the staff also there always welcome you with a smile and are always happy to have a chat with you as well as creating a safe environment for you to enjoy. Personally, with this alone I feel as though the Adelphi Club is the perfect venue that you can attend alone if you don’t have anyone to go with. The venue has friendly regulars and always make sure that you are happy and safe while you are there. At the Adelphi Club you will almost always come out making new friends as well as having a new favourite local band.
Not only does this venue in particular support the new up and coming artists as well as the young artists, but it is also famously well known as a stage where bands such as: green day, The cranberries, Pulp and many other well-known bands have played and the venue still continues to hold its legacy for accommodating such raw and amazing talent. This venue has caught the attention of many musicians from around the world recently had a band from the Netherlands travel up to play at Adelphi as part of their tour. The Band ‘ TRAMHAUS’ described the venue and the crowed to be both very welcoming and friendly as well as the venue being very atmospheric.
Whether you are a musician or just someone who loves music take it from me you should really pay The New Adelphi Club a visit.
